One of the highlights of G-ma Nancy & Papa Charles visit was seeing the Grand Canyon together. It was their first time and Emma & Ava's too. It was a cold day with a few flurries but even more spectacular seeing the Grand Canyon with snow in it! It was just as breathtaking and magical as my first time seeing it many years ago....... Papa Charles said he was glad he lived to see it! It really is so BEAUTIFUL.....check out our photos!
Yay.....G-ma Nancy & Papa Charles are here for some Spring Break fun!! So happy Papa Charles decided he could endure getting on an airplane to see his granddaughters because they were so happy to see him!! They were also so excited to take the big sports fan G-ma Nancy to see the Padres in Spring Training. Thanks to Baby Jim for the awesome seats (1st row behind the Padres dugout)!! We sure had a great time!!
Our great friend Vip or "Uncle Zip" flew back from San Fran to spend a few days with us and see a Cubs Spring training game! The girls had a blast playing, showing off their swimming skills and getting spoiled even more by Uncle Zip! I think they were on a sugar high the whole time.....cotton candy....twizzlers (or"fizzlers" per Ava). He was also able to enjoy Ava singing "Raise your Glass" by Pink. So I can't forget to blog about our hip, trendy San Francisco "Hotel Triton". It was super fab, amazing location and the girls scored some new digs from Chinatown that was right around the corner from us! If you are ever in the area....i highly recommend this hotel!
We were so lucky that my sweet friend Donna and her daughter Allison happened to be in San Francisco at the same time for a conference so we decided to plan a Napa Valley wine tour together! The day was a little foggy & rainy but that didn't stop us from enjoying our guided tour! We enjoyed a stop at the Golden Gate bridge for photos, some amazing champagne tasting, a surprisingly sunny lunch at one of my favorite wineries V. Sattui , some yummy Chardonnay from Whitehall Vineyard and ended the tour with a relaxing ferry ride back to the city! Hope to see you again soon San Francisco......
We were so excited to be invited to our sweet friends Dennis & Leslie's wedding in San Francisco! It was wonderful to celebrate one of the most amazing days in their life and also get to catch up with all our Dallas friends! Our sweet girls were left in Phoenix being spoiled by G-ma Lor Lor & Baby Jim so we were more than thrilled to have a kid free getaway!
Emma Grace is now playing soccer and I'm officially a "soccer mom". North Scottsdale soccer club is awesome and we are having so much fun being a part of it all! Emma is enjoying learning the game, being part of a team, making new friends and most importantly having FUN!!! Emma's sweet friend Grace from preschool is also on her team and Emma said that is what she loves most about soccer!
